Late Mfantseman MP’s Second Wife Raises Concern About Family’s Neglect

A second wife of the late Member of Parliament (MP) for Mfantseman, Ekow Kwansah Hayford has expressed concern about how the family has neglected her after the death of the husband.Sarah Hayford, who says she was married to the late MP and has two children with him was at Mankessim Thursday for the one week observance after the killing of the MP last Friday.Sarah said she was not happy that the family had failed to acknowledge her as a wife even though they knew she was married to Ekow and they were living in Tarkwa in the Western Region.She said the mother of Ekow had always known about her and her two children, aged seven and five.She added that all she was looking for was an acknowledgement and nothing more.Sarah in an earlier radio interview with Accra based&nb...

Tesco worker who strangled neighbour to death ‘for being a nonce’ found guilty of murder

A former Tesco worker who strangling his neighbour with a tie and dumped his body in a river has been found guilty of murder - 13 years later. David Roustoby, 48, has finally been convicted of killing John David Clarke, 43, in April 2007 after a jury at York Crown Court saw through his lies. Roustoby was caught out after a video emerged in which he bragged about plying Mr Clarke with drink, before drugging him with tablets and then strangling him with a tie. Mr Clarke was found face down in the River Foss in Towthorpe, York, by a retired doctor walking his dog on April 18, 2007. A ‘One Week’ commemoration service for late Mfantseman Member of Parliament( MP), Ekow Quansah Hayford, has been held. The event which was held at the School Kesim AstroTurf grounds at Mankessim attracted personalities from all walks of the country. As custom demands, a one week event after the death of the Mfantseman MP, Ekow Quansah Hayford was observed by his family with support from Government. Daniel Wanjiru: London Marathon 2017 winner banned for doping

Kenya's Daniel Wanjiru, winner of the 2017 London Marathon, has been banned from athletics until 2023 for doping. Wanjiru was provisionally suspended in April but denied taking a prohibited substance and requested a tribunal. The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has now confirmed the 28-year-old's ban, in place until 8 December 2023. Mr Patrick Chartey Jilima, Krachi East Municipal Chief Executive has disclosed that works on the cassava processing factory at Adonkwanta is about 97 per cent complete and will soon be operationalised.
