Catholic Bishops Conference, GJA commensurate with former President Rawlings

A delegation of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference led by its President, Most Rev. Philip Naameh, also called to console former President Rawlings and the Agbotui family on the loss of Madam Victoria Agbotui. Archbishop Naameh who is also the Archbishop of Tamale said, even though the loss of a mother is sad and painful, they prayed that the Good Lord grant President Rawlings and the Agbotui family comfort and courage to accept the loss with the hope that she is having eternal rest in peace. Professor Aron Mike Oquaye, the Speaker of Parliament, with the leadership and some members of the House have visited the family of the slain MP of Mfantseman, Ekow Quansah Hayford, at Mankessim to commiserate with them. Ekow Hayford was shot dead by unknown assailants on the Abeadze Dominase–Mankessim road while returning from a campaign trip on Friday, October 9, 2020 around 0100 hours. He left behind a wife, Mrs Ophelia Hayford, and three children; two boys and a girl.
