Vice President cuts sod for the construction of Samanye Barrier-Jaway Wharf road

The Vice President, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawamia has cut sod for the construction of Samanye Barrier-Jaway Wharf road and other internal roads in the Jomoro District of the Western Region. The 108.8 km road project, would be undertaken within 30 months by Messrs MTURN Limited and Messrs Kingspok Company Limited. It includes 24.7km of internal roads, which would link the Half Assini and surrounding towns to the border crossing port with the neighbouring country at Jaway Wharf. The project when completed would reduce vehicles operating cost, reduce the traffic time along the road as well as help improve upon trade relations between Ghana and Ivory Coast. Prisons Service appeals for support for mechanized farming

Assistant Director of Prisons, Apostle James Tetteh, the Chaplain-General of the Ghana Prisons Service, has appealed to Government for tractors and other equipment for the Service to go into mechanized farming. Don’t share sensitive information with public WiFi –Advisor

Dr Albert Antwi-Boasiako, a National Cybersecurity Advisor at the National Cyber Security Centre, has advised against the use of public WiFi to share sensitive information.    He said Wi-Fi services providers needed to deploy systems to protect the passwords of their clients, noting that everything a client entered using the public Wi-Fi could be intercepted.    “So the advice is, when you are using public WiFi, do not share sensitive information. FOSDA entreats MMDAs to scale-up Revenue Mobilization

The Foundation for Security Development in Africa (FOSDA) has entreated Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to scale-up Revenue Mobilization efforts to support community development. Mrs Theodora W. Anti, the Programmes Manager, FOSDA, urged the MMDAs to take steps that could promote broadly shared prosperity. She said about 44 per cent of Ghanaians lived in rural areas and that it was important MMDAs to serve as agents of development and to finance social service delivery to citizens.
