Ghanaian actress Akuapem Poloo says a nude video of her which made the rounds on social media was recorded without her consent by a friend.
According to the actress who is known in her private life as Rosemond Brown, the video was recorded in November last year when she was getting ready to take her bath.
She said she was having a conversation with a business partner when her friend who had taken the lead to the bathroom, returned and recorded the video from her blindside.
In a video recording posted by Famebugs on Instagram, the controversial actress said the video was not a sextape as has been suggested by social media users.
It will be recalled that the mother-of-one drew the ire of Ghana’s Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection in July when she posted a nude photo with her son on social media.
The Minister, Hon. Cynthia Morrison condemned Akupem Poloo’s actions and said the Ministry was liaising with the appropriate agencies to deal with the issue.
“The Ministry highly condemns this act which is classified as indecent exposure of the child, an act of pornography, degrading and also against the Children’s Act, 1998 (Act 560) and the Criminal and Other Offences Act, (Act 30),” the statement said.
The Ministry also urged people to desist from posting nude photos since it was an offence. It also asked those sharing the photo to stop because that was also an offence.
