Ghana to act as scrutineer for 70th fifa congress

Ghana and Portugal have been proposed to act as scrutineers at the 70th FIFA Congress to count the votes in accordance with art. 28 par. 2 lit. e of the FIFA Statutes and art. 3 of the Standing Orders of the Congress. The role of the Scrutineers would include, to ensure the correct majorities and quorums are applied and to count the votes submitted by FIFA’s member associations. Member Associations would have to approve the appointment of the countries as well as five other members who would check the minutes. When approved, the General Secretary of the GFA Prosper Harrison Addo would undertake the role of the scrutineer for the historic FIFA Online Congress to be held on September 18, 2020. The first phase of the National U-20 male team’s pre-selection camping will begin ‪on Friday August 28‬ with seventy (70) players expected to report to camp. The Black Satellites are set to begin preparations for WAFU 'B' U-20 qualification tournament to be staged in Togo later this year. KYIV, Aug 26 (Reuters) - Ukraine on Wednesday imposed a temporary ban on most foreigners from entering the country until Sept. 28 and extended lockdown measures until the end of October to contain a recent spike in coronavirus cases. Speaking at a televised cabinet meeting, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal also said the government would need to take a decision on Thursday on whether to ban major public events in September. "The rise in coronavirus infections we have seen in recent weeks is forcing us to act more decisively," Shmygal said. BERLIN (AP) — The U.N. nuclear watchdog agency says Tehran has agreed to allow inspectors in to two sites where Iran is suspected of having stored or used undeclared nuclear material. There is growing fear among students of the St Louis Senior High School (SHS) at Oduom in the Oforikrom municipality in the Ashanti Region after one of their colleagues was raped on campus last Saturday, August 22, 2020. The alleged incident occurred late in the evening at about 10:30 p.m.. The intruder is said to have dragged the student, who was studying in one of the classrooms, into a nearby teak plantation on the campus and raped her.
