Joseph Esso swerves Hearts.. set to join Asante Kotoko

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have set sights on former Hearts of Oak striker Joseph Esso as they seek to boost their squad for the season. The Reds are eager to bring the forward, to the club according to widespread reports. Esso was released by Accra Hearts of Oak after a failed contract negotiations between him and the club. According to Fox 97.9 FM the former Hearts of Oak player Joseph Esso has agreed in principle to play for Kumasi Asante Kotoko. The report indicated that the player had a meeting with the board of Asante Kotoko on Thursday in Accra to discuss his personal terms with the club. Joseph made 14 appearances and scored 3 goals for the Phobians in the 19/20 Ghana Premier League which was canceled due to the COVID-19.

GFA sets new date for 26TH ordinary congress

The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), in the exercise of its powers under Article 31(2) of the GFA Statutes 2019, has fixed Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 9am in the forenoon as the date and time for the 26th Ordinary session of Congress. The event will take place at the GFA Technical Centre (Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, Prampram). The Council took this decision at its meeting on Monday, August 17, 2020. The new date and venue replace what was earlier communicated. The 26th Ordinary Session of Congress was billed to take place on Thursday, August 27, 2020 via video conferencing but decision has been overturned following the lifting of restrictions on the number of people who can attend conferences subject to the maintenance of social distancing (etc)...

Government on course to deliver on road infrastructure- Amoako-Atta

The Minister for Roads and Highways, Mr Kwasi Amoako-Atta says the government is on course to deliver on road infrastructure across the country. He said President Akufo-Addo was keeping to his pledge to Ghanaians to improve on the roads network to open up the country. Friends of the Nation (FoN), a non-governmental organization(NGO), has called on the government to help stop illegal pair trawling by foreign vessels in Ghanaian waters. According to FoN, the fish stock in the sea is fast depleting, necessitating urgent attention to address the situation.
