Arsenal head of football Raul Sanllehi to be replaced by Vinai Venkatesham

Arsenal head of football Raul Sanllehi is leaving the club and his role will be taken over by managing director Vinai Venkatesham. Sanllehi, 53, arrived at Emirates Stadium from Barcelona in February 2018, while Venkatesham has been at Arsenal since 2010. "Working with Vinai, we have built a top team for the future," Sanllehi said. "I'm proud and pleased with my contribution over the past three years. "Arsenal is a true footballing institution." The DJ and host of Africa Now on Apple Music, Cuppy, has released her much-awaited banger, Karma which featured the Ghanaian icon Stonebwoy. The artistes were spotted in CNN studio today to promote the song. Killertunes did the production for Karma. However, Karma is a track on Cuppy’s debut album dubbed ‘Original Copy’. The University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) Tarkwa, has appointed Professor Richard Kwesi Amankwah, as its new Vice Chancellor for a four-year term from October 16, 2020, to July 2024. The University Council announced this after its meeting yesterday. Until his appointment, Professor Amankwah was the Dean, Faculty of Integrated Management Science of UMaT. He takes over from Professor Jerry Yao Kumah, who is due for retirement. The Council also announced the appointment of Jonathan Sakoe, as the Finance Officer for a four-year term from September 1, 2020, to July 31, 2024. President Akufo-Addo has given the assurance that ongoing works on the Sunyani Airport Runway extension will be completed by the end of September 2020. The President gave the assurance when the Omanhene of Dwenem Traditional Area, Nana Bofo Bene, and his Elders called on him at the Jubilee House. The visit was to thank the pResident for what the chiefs called unprecedented development in the region. Nana Bofo Bene said the development project in the region can only be equated to that of the Busia government in 1969. They also praised the President for settling chieftaincy disputes in the region. Fire guts slum community in Shiashie

Fire has gutted over 100 wooden and metal structures used as dwellings and commercial purposes by some residents of Shiashie, a slum community near East Legon in Accra. Personal properties worth several thousands of Ghana Cedis were destroyed as many were left homeless. Divisional Officer Grade II (DOII) Ellis Okoe Robinson, Head, Public Relations, Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), told the Ghana News Agency. He said the GNFS had a distress call around 2145 hours and promptly got to the scene and brought the fire under control at 0032 hours, thus preventing it from spreading to other parts of the community. Leonardo DiCaprio has cemented his status as a Hollywood heavyweight as he signed a huge new 'first-look' deal with Sony Pictures. The Oscar-winning actor's production company Appian Way Productions, which he co-founded with Jennifer Davisson, has teamed up with Sony boss Tom Rothman on the deal which is set to last years, according to Variety.
