Former Asante Kotoko youngster Mattew Cudjoe is pleading with President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo to lift the restrictions placed on football.
The youngster has called on the President to ease the restrictions to help bring back football.
There has been a ban on football and other contact sports since March 2020 as part of measures to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
However after the President eased some restrictions, the Young Apostles forward has come out to plead with the Government to lift restrictions on football so players can return to the playing field again.
“I want to smell the grass again, get the feel of the ball on my boots. I plead with the President Nana Akufo-Addo to lift the ban on Sports.” he said.
“We all love football, we all love this game. We love the values it conveys, the passion it brings.”
“My life is incomplete without football. The game is about discipline and fair play so to follow the protocols is very easy” Cudjoe concluded.
