The New patriotic party ( NPP) Ahafo regional Deputy youth organizer, Kenneth Kwaku Kaunda donates 8,000 face masks to support fight against the new corona virus pandemic.
The donation, which is mainly targeted at senior high schools and tertiary institutions in the Ahafo region will go a long way to supplement the government’s efforts against COVID 19.
Presenting the masks to our ladies of Apostles ( OLA ) girls senior high school in kenyasi in the Asutifi north district of the Ahafo region of Ghana, Kenneth Kaunda said COVID 19 has come to stay with us and we must adjust our lives in order to protect ourselves from the virus.
” The teaming youth in our society are found at the senior high schools and tertiary institutions. I thought it wise to donate to my brothers and sisters in the schools. I know this will help them a lot in their quest to seek academic empowerment ” he disclosed.
Mr Kaunda further admonished the students , ” The government of Ghana is spending a lot on the free senior high school educational policy just to give you a very promising and secured future for better life and for the total development of Ghana in the near future. I therefore edge you to study hard to make the policy a success ”
The regional Deputy youth organizer had earlier donated some of the masks to king Hammar senior high school, Goaso nursing and midwifery school. The rest of the schools will have their share through the heads of their institutions for onward distribution to the students.
Kenneth Kaunda later encouraged students in the Ahafo region to go to their centers to get registered into the new voters’ roll in order to be able to vote massively for support and sustenance of the free senior high school education policy by the NPP government.
Teachers and students in all the schools visited were so happy for the kind gesture.
