GFA safety and Security committee holds maiden meeting

The newly-constituted Safety and Security Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) held its maiden meeting on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. The Committee which was constituted in March, 2020, had to postpone any further engagements due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and its subsequent safety restrictions imposed by the government. In attendance were the Chairman, D.S.P Emmanuel Asante and Vice Chairman Lt. Col. D.B Asare. New voters registration exercise to begin end of June

The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that it will begin the new voters registration exercise from the last week of June to the last week of July this year. Over 33,000 registration centers are expected to be used for the exercise. The centers will be divided into clusters with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols to ensure public safety.  The cluster system is expected to prevent overcrowding at registration centers and speed up the registration process.
