I won’t allow anyone to push LGBT legalization down my throat-Supreme Court nominees affirms.

Prof Hanrieta Mensah Bonsu, Supreme Court nominee, says she will not bow to pressure to push for the legalization of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) in the country. “I do not approve of people running something down my throat because that is what they want,” she said at her vetting to the apex court by the Appointment Committee in Parliament. Although Prof Bonsu declined to state her position on the controversial subject, she said the Ghanaians are not ready to accept LGBT. “Although we need to protect the minority, we should not do that at the expense of the majority,” she said and added that majority of Ghanaians do not support the legalization of LGBT. Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia today launched the Integrated ICT System which automates all the operations of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) in the country at the Jubilee House. He said this is an information technology solution that would address payment and settlement challenges of MASLOC and bring air of efficiency into its operations of MASLOC. Auditor General found guilty of contempt

The Auditor-General, Daniel Domelevo, has been found guilty of contempt for failing to respond to a suit filed by the Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo Maafo, which was challenging the $1m surcharge on him. According to the court, the reason given by Mr. Domelevo for his inability to respond was “untenable and an afterthought.” Domelevo had said he was busy finishing up an audit report for Parliament hence his failure to respond to the suit. The judge, Justice Botwe, in her ruling, said due to the important role the Auditor-General plays, she will opt to caution and discharge him rather than sentence him. A former Director General of the National Communications Authority William Tetteh Tevie, former Board Chairman of the NCA Eugene Baffoe-Bonnie and one other person have been slapped with a total of 16 years jail time. Alhaji Salifu Osman, a former National Security representative coordinator is the other accused person found guilty by the court and to serve 5 years in prison Justice Eric Kyei Baffour found them guilty of causing financial loss to the state to the tune of 4million dollars. Man killed for refusing to pay sex worker

A tricycle truck rider has been killed at Asafo in Kumasi for refusing to pay a commercial sex worker, after enjoying her services. The truck driver was allegedly thrown from a two Storey, leading to his death. The Anidado Hotel and Restaurant where the incident happened has since been locked up after police picked up suspects.
