Government not treating COVID patients well-Minority

The Minority in Parliament has accused the government of not taking good care of COVID 19 patients in health facilities.

Speaking at a press conference this morning, the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, alleged that some COVID patients are given no medication except Vitamin C.

The Minority leader further accused the government of giving Ghanaians false hope on the COVID 19 situation in the country.

The government says the COVID 19 infection curve has reached its peak and is currently on the decline..

The Ghana Health Service, this morning told reporters that the COVID 19 situation is currently under control.

But the Minority Leader said the government is engaged in a public relations gimmick to create a false sense of security.

He said the government’s statement is not a true reflection of the situation on the ground and alleged that the government is not giving Covid 19 patients proper care.

He noted that government’s effort to deal with the disease has, since the outbreak on March 12, not been effective.

The Minority Leader further called for a full audit of expenditures on Covid – 19, noting that there has been no accountability on monies spent.
